Arizona's Original Kayak Fishing Guide
I specialize in kayak fishing and have been a fishing guide in Arizona since 2017. I have 40 years experience on the Tonto Lakes from a motorboat, but in 2014 I realized my overall experience with nature was better when I took the motor out of the equation and delved into kayaking and kayak bass fishing.
I'm licensed with the Arizona Game & Fish Dept. and have a special-use permit with Tonto National Forest (USDA), which houses some of the best fisheries in Arizona including Roosevelt Lake, Bartlett Lake, Canyon lake, Saguaro lake, and the Lower Salt River. I'm first aid/CPR certified and have my level one fingerprint clearance card with the state of Arizona. My guided trips are custom designed around your wishes and experience level. I provide the kayaks, PFDs, and all fishing tackle. Half-day guided catch and release fishing trips start at $225 for one angler or $350 for two anglers.
GUIDED KAYAK FISHING TOURS

New anglers are welcome as are experienced anglers! We spend 4-6 hours on the water and primarily fish for large mouth bass, but other species are an option! There is a learning curve to kayak angling and bass fishing, and I will give you pointers throughout the trip to help lessen this curve. I will also share my wealth of knowledge regarding the Tonto waterways! Anglers ages 10 and over must have a valid Arizona fishing license that can be purchased here. All fishing trips are Catch & Release.
KAYAKING ONLY
$200 for two people *kayaking only*
This trip consists of 3-4 hours on the water and is designed to introduce you to kayaking. We will go over the basics of kayaking, water safety, and discuss fishing/fishing strategies from a kayak.
FISHING LESSONS
$125 for one angler or $200 for two anglers (*Please note for 2022 there is a 2-person minimum for Bartlett or Roosevelt Lakes)
These lessons are from shore and are designed for new anglers and children. The lessons are 2-3 hours and are seasonal. We will fish from shore and I will go over the basics of fishing at an age-appropriate level. More than one trip is an option and I make these trips fun!! Anglers ages 10 and over must have a valid Arizona fishing license that can be purchased here. All trips are Catch & Release.
There is a variety of wildlife in Tonto National Forest and during my tours I point out the different critters that are drawn to water in the Sonoran Desert. Nature is amazing and often presents us with horses, bald eagles, otters, birds, and much of this wildlife can be seen in my photography store.
